A message from the Oracles of the Bush committee:

Coming into the 27th Oracles year it is with heavy hearts, we announce 2024 is the final curtain call. Everything in life has a time frame and nothing lasts forever. Some committee members have been involved for 20 plus years and are needing to step down. Unfortunately committed replacements to take over the event management are not around. Rather than have the quality of the event diminish we have decided to pull together and present one last cracker of a festival.

The “Yellow Shirts” look forward to seeing ‘the purple Shirts’ in 2024. NB: Be quick to book with Debbie as there are limited seats available.

A week-end full of Entertainment, Fun and much Laughter!

Oracles of the Bush is an annual event celebrating Australian bush poetry, music and art. This event boasts among the highest prizemoney for any bush poetry competition in the country. It includes a variety of events such as Poets’ Concert featuring professional poets, poetry competition heats and final, breakfasts, lunches and the Poets’ Brawl breakfast in Jubilee Park.

Oracles is held at the start of Autumn when Tenterfield’s leaves are beginning to turn gold. It’s a great place to be at the start of a wonderful season. The 2024 tour includes entry into all events and all meals. See highlights below:

Tour and lunch at Tenterfield’s Station Homestead, plus something very special for AbFab Tours – A mini Tenterfield performance by our beloved Flanagan Family: Lara, Archie & Rissie.
3 x Breakfasts, 3 x Lunches and 2 x Dinners.
Camp Fire Yarns – professional poets performing.
Bush poetry entertainment at Saturday’s breakfast and lunch.
Attend 2 Looming Legend Heats & the Looming Legend Grand Final.
The opportunity to perform in the Looming Legend Heats & The 1 Minute Breakfast Brawl.
