Day 1:
Friday 11th February 2022

Morning tea stop at Rangers Hut (please bring your own M/Tea).
Gawura Gallery.
- Welcome to Country – Smoke Ceremony by Bob Blair.
- Presentation by Lloyd Hornsby on his life’s journey, his art and the art exhibition on display. gawuragallery.com.
- Entertainment by local Aboriginal didgeridoo player & dancer Bob Blair. Wendy Hornsby shared the acoustics are terrific in the Gawura Gallery. A range of art, gifts & souvenirs in the gift shop.
- ‘Art in the Park’ Talk by Lloyd on the ‘Art Installation’ won by Lloyd Hornsby & Sarah Fletcher.
Bens Falls Retreat Restaurant: Canapés, Main & ‘light’ Dessert Dinner. Sunset 7.44 pm – As the sun goes down & the Severn River is flowing over Bens Falls, we will see a spectacular view with floodlights projecting onto Bens Falls. BYO Drinks. bensfallsretreat.com.

Day 2:
Saturday 12th February 2022

’Paint a boomerang’ private workshop with Lloyd Hornsby at Gawura Gallery.
Free time: the motel is in close proximity to shops.
Glen Innes Show ‘Royal Show of the North’.
- Gourmet Fiesta Marquee: cooking demonstration with surprise celebrity chef, wines, spirits and beers.
- Pavilion exhibits not to be missed.
- Woodchopping.
- Post rip and chainsaw racing.
- Ring events.
- Stud cattle extravaganza. British breeds sheep & prime lambs
- Grand Parade 4 pm ring events.
- Massive fireworks at approximately 9 pm, followed by demolition derby.

NB: 2 choices for bus departure times to return to accommodation: 6 pm or 9.45 pm after fireworks

Day 3:
Sunday 13th February 2022

Private Glen Innes historical town guided tour with experienced local kilted guide Judi Toms.
Standing Stones guided tour and piper.
Boundary Falls – light lunch provided. Easy walking distance to view the falls.

Tour inclusions:

Accommodation: New England Motor Lodge, a stylish 4-star motel.
Dinner at Bens Falls Retreat Restaurant with floodlights on falls.
2 hot plated breakfasts with tea/coffee or juice & fresh fruit/cereal.
2 lunches.
Entry into events.

Travel Information:

There will be sections of gravel road.
Bring warm clothes, a hat and water.
A Covid-19 Safety Plan is in place. The well-being of our passengers is of paramount importance.

A 50% deposit per person with a completed booking form is required to secure your place.
